Winter Kill
I was walking along a local river with a friend recently when my friend’s dog uncovered this duck carcass. As spring arrives here in the northern Rockies, scavengers are finding food like this duck beneath the melting snows. Sad for the duck maybe, but happy for a coyote or fox.
